In 1999, a friend of mine approached me with a problem. He was running a business selling fetish gear, but his website was not up to par. As an aspiring web developer, I saw an opportunity to help my friend and get some experience at the same time. I created devus.com, a website that would showcase his products and provide customers with an easy way to purchase them online.
Little did I know at the time that devus.com would become much more than just a favor for a friend. As I worked on the website, I began to develop a passion for web development and eCommerce. Before long, I found myself taking over my friend’s business and transforming it into a thriving online store.
Over the years, devus.com has evolved and grown. We’ve expanded our product offerings to include a wide range of fetish gear, and we’ve built a loyal customer base that spans the globe. But at our core, we remain true to our roots as a small business that started with a simple website.
Creating devus.com was a pivotal moment in my career. It taught me the importance of a well-designed website and the potential of eCommerce to transform businesses. And it all started with a friend in need of a better website.
